Colten spent his first Memorial Day weekend on the lake in Townsend. He even went to Northern D'Lights for the first time!

We came home early and had lunch at Q'Doba.  Colten's first burrito experience!

Colten had his four month doctor's appointment today!  His doctor is very pleased with his progress, weighing in at 13lbs. 12oz. and 24 1/4 inches long.  Here's a quick video of Colten prior to the appointment. 

Colten and I had a wonderful first Mother's Day.  Colten's Grandpa Gard surprised us in the morning with fresh flowers, we went on a walk with Grandma Gard in the afternoon, and enjoyed a delicious cookout in the evening where Paul and Colten surprised me with a "Mom" necklace.  I am so blessed to have such an amazing family!

Birthdays are much more fun with Colten!  Paul turned 34 on Monday and we celebrated with a "Daddy" cake.

Happy Easter!  Colten's doctor gave us the OK to take him on longer car rides so we celebrated with a trip to Townsend!  He did very well on the drive, sleeping most of the way.  Since we still have to stay away from crowds it was nice to venture out and introduce Colten to a new environment where we didn't have to worry about large groups of people...just the wildlife!  Below are some pictures from our Easter celebration.

Colten had his two month doctor appointment on Thursday.  His pediatrician was very pleased with his progress - 21 inches long and 9lbs 11oz - a healthy baby boy!  Of course, at this appointment he also received his vaccines.  He did very well, crying briefly, but then sleeping all the way home.  He was a little fussier than normal later on in the day, but who wouldn’t be after being poked in the leg three times!
